― Something from Somebody ―

Our daily lives are always protected by something from somebody.
At this shop, the façade was renovated into an arch door, and together with the owner and his wife, we tried to recreate the original scenery of an antique shop in the United States that each of us remember.

The colors in the memory are always more vibrant than they really are, and the images are deformed with blurry contours.

I designed this space as if it were a place in my memory.
The reason why there is something like a wonderland may be that the memory of the original scenery and the scenery you dreamed of are stored in a place close to each other in mind.

― 誰かからの何か ―

私たちの日常は、いつも誰かからの何かで守られている。

このショップでは、ファサードをアーチ型のドアにリノベーションし、オーナー夫婦とともに、それぞれが記憶している、アメリカにあるアンティークショップの原風景の再現を試みた。

記憶の中の色彩は、いつも実際よりも鮮やか、そしてイメージはデフォルメされていて、都合よく輪郭がぼけている。

この空間をまるで記憶の中の場所のようにデザインをした。どこかワンダーランド的な要素があるのは、心の中で、原風景という記憶と、夢で見た風景が近い場所にしまわれるからかもしれない。
